IHF-U was founded by Hajji Twaibu Sekamatte Magatto in May 2018 after a series of consultations among family members, community promoters, friends and other organizations in Kampala and Wakiso; and with technical support from consultants and sister organizations. Accordingly, In May 2018, IHF-U was formally registered as a company limited by guarantee and not having a share capital; and therefore operating as a non-profit organization; mandated to carry out religious, social and economic development activities in Uganda with its Founders Twaibu Sekamatte and Sekamatte Al Hussain.
