Background Started in 2003, Literacy Action and Development Agency (LADA) is a grassroots/indigenous NGO that operates countrywide, with a philosophy; “Building Strong Children, Families and Communities”. Its strategic focus is on Water and Sanitation, Child Survival and Development, Clean Energy, Water Shed/Catchment Conservation, HIV/AIDS, Reproductive Health, and Human Rights Awareness and Advocacy. LADA is managed by a seven member Board of Directors, which appoints the Executive Director. The Board plays the advisory role on policy and strategy, approves financial statements and runs affairs of the organization on behalf of the Foundation Body.
