The Uganda Refugee and Disaster Management Council (URDMC) is a registered Ugandan-based, non-governmental organization with its headquarter in Adjumani. The organization was founded by former employees of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) after its exit from South-Western Uganda in 2012 with aims of continuing with the protection and promotion of refugees’ rights. URDMC is in its fourth year of project implementation. Early cooperation included MOBAN in collaboration with GIZ International in the implementation of Peace-building projects within Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Western Uganda in 2012/2013. In close collaboration with OPM in South Western Uganda, URDMC also contributed towards the emergency response for the Congolese Refugees in Matanda Transit Centre.
