About National Association for Women's Action in Development (NAWAD)
Established in 2009, NAWAD is a voluntary, non-government women’s rights organization that empowers women and girls to achieve social justice, economic stability, and sustainable management of their environment. NAWAD focuses on family and supports grassroots women and girls to develop local alternatives to climate change through ecofeminism , circular local economies,, and renewable energy and enhances their capacity to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls.
