KOFUP is a charitable trust which was founded to relieve poverty, sickness and distress among orphans and vulnerable children living in Kenya and Uganda. We support community-based projects that provide for the children's basic needs, education and psycho-social development. KOFUP was begun as a response to the plight of the many children in Sub-Saharan Africa who have been orphaned by diseases such as HIV/Aids. In general, our aim is to support as many such children as possible with food, clothing, medicine and education within their own communities. KOFUP has made a huge difference to the lives of thousands of children. However, while our present level of support is enhancing the lives of hundreds, the actual number of orphans in those areas is many times the number we are currently able to reach.
