About Our Charity About imageRichard Sanderson first went to Colombia in 1999 on a short term mission project. During his two weeks there he was invited to work for a longer period with the street children of Bogota. Taking a 1 year career break from his job of almost 10 years, sensing the call of God, he went to serve in Colombia in 2000. He was supported from the UK by individuals and helped by his previous Sunday School teacher, Maureen Nugent as his support coordinator.During 1999, Richard was deeply impacted by the work of Children’s Vision, Bogota and in 2001 married its founder, Jeanene Kay Thicke. Through the work of Richard and Maureen, the UK support for Children’s Vision continued to grow and in May of 2008 Richard and Maureen along with Simon Miles and Margaret Swift founded the charity New Hope for Children (1124015). The main objective is to raise awareness and support in the UK for the work of Children’s Vision, Bogota. In Bogota we help support the three children’
