The Purple Bench Initiative. Misconceptions contribute to the largest burden of illness in people living with epilepsy and leads to stigma and discrimination. This instills feelings of shame, embarrassment and disgrace. The emotional impact results in social exclusion and limited social participation. ​ ​ At the PURPLE BENCH INITIATIVE, we are driven by a single goal: To empower, making a difference through awareness.
