Ubuntu Trust Ltd established in 2011, is a private organization, part of civil society, self-governed, with social responsibility offering micro-investment services, business skills training and mentorship services to people of limited resources in Uganda We are community centered; owned, financed and managed by the refugee community, and with our approach we have cleared the limitations of physical accessibility and the lack of documentation to access financial services. Additional services including financial literacy and business management training have also facilitated growth of economically sustainable refugee communities. And to further extend our impact, we are partnering with commercial banks and mobile money service providers such as Airtel, MTN, Bank of Africa, Centenary bank, Stanbic, DFCU and Equity bank, to extend agency banking services to refugees and their host communities.
