Royal African Safaris is inspired by the Prince of Wales and President Roosevelt safaris of the 1930s. We stay very close to the traditions and atmosphere of the past, at the same time as incorporating many of the more stylish comforts of the 21st century. The story of Royal African Safaris reflects that of safari itself. It is one of daring and determination, adventure and discovery, never-ending quests and undiminished hopes; a story of that remarkable breed of men and women that brought the first visitors to Africa, and of their descendants who continue to show the wilder parts of our continent to visitors from the more developed world. Above all, it is the story of discovering "the hidden spirit of the wilderness," and of uncovering the hidden spirit within ourselves.
