The State University of Zanzibar or SUZA as it is commonly called, is one of Zanzibar?s most popular and successful universities, set within a beautiful seaside campus at Beit-el-Ras and an equally attractive campus in the heart of the historic Stone Town. State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) conducts academic programmes leading to certificate, diplomas and undergraduate degrees in various fields. SUZA is among the recently started institutions in Tanzania. It opened its doors in 2002. It is located on the beautiful island of Zanzibar, about 30 kilometres off Dar es Salaam, the Tanzania?s largest city and administrative province.
